The items I’m reviewing in this post were purchased with my own money. I want to disclose that I did decide to join the Astoria Activewear Affiliate program and did receive a discount on my subsequent purchases, but my first purchase was made at full price for the purpose of trying them out and seeing what my thoughts are and if this is a brand that aligns with me and my brand, Sarah.Gives Nutrition.
I recently discovered Astoria Activewear thanks to the physical therapists at Evlo Fitness. I’ve been an Evlo member since early 2024 and couldn’t help but notice the super cute workout sets that the instructors are always wearing. One day while on instagram I noticed they tagged the brand so I decided to check it out for myself.
Initially since I hadn’t heard of Astoria I was obviously skeptical. I did a quick search for Astoria activewear on Reddit to see what I could find. There were quite a few negative comments. Several people commented that they thought the material was cheap or that the brand was a scam. Despite the negative reviews I decided to try it for myself. And I’m glad I did.
Design
Some of the cutest workout clothes on the market hands down. Im not exaggerating when i say that I feel like almost every look was made with someone like me in mind, meaning they know their target audience haha The designs are so cute; my favorite are the florals but they also have a super cute cherry set I decided to buy and a recently released jade gingham pattern.

Seamless crotch for the win!
I swear if one more brand insists on sticking a seam straight down the front of the crotch of leggings and biker shorts I just might lose it. So unflattering. There is no one that this looks good on. And not only that it creates camel toe ruining the overall look of the workout set. Additionally it distracts from my workout because I’m so caught up with wondering if I have visible camel toe. It’s just overall the worst design choice possible and I applaud Astoria Activewear for avoiding the dreaded crotch seam line
Fabric
I find the fabric to be plenty stretchy and sweat wicking. My workouts are mostly strength focused but I do sweat and I definitely need to be able to move freely. The sizing does run on the smaller side, but sizes don’t have a standard to begin with. Does this mean that Astoria may end up being less size inclusive? Yes, I would say that they aren’t a size inclusive brand as they only offer xsmall- xxlarge. However, they do have a size chart that clearly states the measurements for each size and I did find the measurements to be accurate.
Sizing Note
Sizes available are listed with the bust, waist and hip measurements. Sizes are arbitrary anyway, so I know for me I always use size charts rather than relying on “knowing” my size in a specific item. I also personally don’t like to have my workout clothing be too restrictive so I tend to size up since most workout clothing material has stretch. Also note that the Astoria size chart suggests to size up if you are someone who falls in between sizes.

Policy Transparency
I haven’t needed to make a return but they do have their return policy clearly available on their website. The only part that is a little sucky is that the window for returns is only 21 days. So kind of tight compared to some other brands but then again still seems reasonable, especially if you consider that they are a smaller company. When it comes to other smaller brands I’d say that 21 days is reasonable considering that many small brands are simply final sale with no returns.
Cons
- I did have one item that wasn’t exactly what I expected. I bought the shorts and sports bra from the barre collection. The design is definitely what intrigued me, especially since the bra looks like you’ve sort of layered a bra within a bra giving a really cute illusion. Anyway, the white part of the bra fit a bit loose resulting in me needing to make my own modifications to the top for it to feel how it was meant to be worn. I also found that after a few wash and wears the ribbing on the backside of the shorts have some slight snags. Overall I’ve found this only to be specific to the barre collection and haven’t had these issues with any other items.
- Shipping time: maybe because of the world we live in with Amazon delivering overnight, it felt like shipping was a little slow since it took about a week for my order to arrive.
There’s even a brand new spring collection, Fleur, that dropped Friday, 3/14/25. The design of this collection is so cute and fun it was hard to choose!
